Pediatric Clinic

Clinic Services include:

  • Newborn screening and carrier testing
  • Diagnostic, genetic and metabolic laboratory testing
  • Comprehensive and preventive pediatric care
  • Clinical research to advance care plans and treatment protocol

Diagnostic/Research

Many children with genetic and metabolic based disorders have not been accurately diagnosed. Early diagnoses are critical to effective care and follow up. Our clinic provides prenatal and newborn screening. We attempt to identify and research any rare disorder. History has shown that careful research and diagnostics can unveil treatments that actually prevent symptoms from occurring or progressing.

Treatment and Prevention

Early intervention not only focuses on addressing symptoms but on preventive treatments as well. Too often special needs children are not receiving coordinated care. The information families receive from specialists is fragmented and inadequate. Our staff will combine all patient data from every specialist. Developing a highly effective treatment protocol for each individual patient will remain our top priority.

Education

Education will include outreach to families providing: an understanding of the importance of testing newborn children, consistent medical treatment of children, dietary requirements, etc. The successful research and treatments will be shared among medical professionals and researchers to further benefit children everywhere.
