DDC Clinic and Cleveland Clinic Team Up to Provide Adult Cardiogenetic Care
February 2, 2026
Building upon a growing partnership with Cleveland Clinic, DDC Clinic’s Family Heart Center has recently expanded its scope of cardiogenetic services, now providing expert cardiac care to adult patients with genetic heart conditions.
The addition of adult cardiac care services represents a natural evolution in the unique partnership that has served DDC Clinic’s patient families for the past two years. Since 2024, visiting Cleveland Clinic pediatric cardiologist, Dr. Jeffrey Bennett, has provided cardiac care in our Family Heart Center, helping children with inherited heart conditions receive expert consultation and coordinated follow-up care close to home.
Now, adult patients have access to the same level of specialized care provided by Cleveland Clinic adult cardiologist, Dr. Michael Hill, who began seeing patients at the Family Heart Center in January of this year.
“Having Dr. Hill’s involvement is another step forward in our clinic’s growth and commitment to providing seamless compassionate care across all stages of a patient’s life,” said Dr. Heng Wang, DDC Clinic Medical Director. “Through our partnership with these visiting cardiologists, our clinic now serves both pediatric and adult patients, ensuring lifelong continuity of care within the same trusted environment.”
The special collaboration between DDC Clinic and Cleveland Clinic allows for shared expertise, unified care plans, and a deeper understanding of how genetic heart conditions evolve over time. Dr. Bennett and Dr. Hill work closely with DDC Clinic’s broader team, including their cardiac care nurses and genetic counselor, to provide tailored care plans that reflect each patient’s unique genetic profile.
Monitoring and ongoing care are essential to managing rare genetic heart conditions. Dr. Bennett and Dr. Hill work with Family Heart Center staff to provide onsite diagnostics including echocardiograms, EKG testing, and electronic heart monitoring services, which are critical for detecting changes in cardiac status and ensuring timely intervention when needed.
“Our strategic partnership with Cleveland Clinic successfully combines our culturally sensitive care and their specialized expertise to bring advanced cardiac services directly into our community,” said Dr. Wang. “This is a tremendous benefit to families from Plain communities in Geauga County and surrounding areas, reducing barriers to accessing healthcare and improving health outcomes.”
